Al H. Sirmon, CPA
President
Al Sirmon, a 1973 graduate of The Citadel in Charleston, SC, with a degree in Business Administration, currently holds the position of President for Pathology Service Associates, LLC (PSA). Mr. Sirmon is a Certified Public Accountant and prior to PSA was in public accounting for over 15 years. During the past 15 years, he has been associated with pathology practices and directs all financial services, including billing and collections, for associated practices and billing clients across the country. Through his association with pathology practices, Mr. Sirmon has worked on numerous projects dealing with cost accounting and financial analysis in the laboratory setting. Mr. Sirmon has served as on a variety of panels dealing with accounting and finance in the healthcare industry and has presented at numerous industry meetings.

Bama Saltzman, CPC
Senior Vice President
Bama Saltzman, Senior Vice President, has been with PSA, LLC over 10 years and has over 26 years experience in billing operations and physician receivables management. She received a B.S. in Business Administration from the College of Charleston and is a Certified Procedural Coder (CPC). Bama oversees the billing operations and practice management for the Florence, SC, Charleston, SC, Greenwood, SC and Charlotte, NC Central Billing Offices. In May 2000, Bama opened the Charleston, SC Central Billing Offices for PSA. Since its inception, the office has grown to over 200 employees, developed a client services department for client management, and maintains a strong management team for billing operations. Bama began the management of the Greenwood operation center in July 2006 and has since integrated all four CBOs to improve billing efficiencies. The Charlotte Central Billing Office opened October 2008.

Randal Sanderson
Vice-President of Business Development
Randal Sanderson, Vice-President of Business Development, has been with PSA for over 7 years and has over 21 years of experience in the Clinical and AP laboratory industry. He has been directly involved with all aspects of PSA’s services. Randal has worked directly with individual practices in launching their marketing and sales initiative while serving on PSA’s Business Alliance Committee. He has been involved with financial reporting and PSA’s Market Analysis Program (“MAP”). Randal’s strengths include current client retention, strategic marketing, and communication planning.

John R. Outlaw, CHC, CHBME
Chief Compliance Officer
John R. Outlaw is PSA 's Chief Compliance Officer (CCO) and has over 25 years of experience in healthcare claims administration. In his role as CCO, he is responsible for oversight of the PSA Compliance Program, serves as PSA’s Privacy Officer, and provides compliance-related consultation and education for PSA clients. Prior to coming to PSA, Mr. Outlaw spent 19 years with Palmetto Government Benefits Administrators (PGBA), where, as Director of PGBA's TRICARE Operations, his responsibilities included contract compliance, benefits management, and provider data management, in addition to traditional claims processing and beneficiary services functions. Mr. Outlaw is a Certified Healthcare Billing Management Executive (CHBME) and is a member of the Board of Directors of the Healthcare Billing & Management Association. Mr. Outlaw is also member of the Health Care Compliance Association (HCCA) and holds that organization’s Certified in Healthcare Compliance (CHC) credential.

Vandy Tibbetts
Implementation and Billing Support Services Director
The past 10 years Vandy has served PSA as Implementation and Billing Support Services Director. Her responsibilities include the implementation of new billing clients as well as EDI services for all PSA clients and operation centers. PSA’s Credential Department, which services all PSA Clients in addition to MED3OOO Physician Management Credentialing Clients, falls under her responsibilities as well. Some of her additional roles include Billing Consultation Engagements.

Pam Evans
Regional Director of Operations and Patient Services Director
Pam Evans has been with PSA, LLC since 1995 and has over 20 years experience in the healthcare arena to include payor background, billing operations and physician receivables management. As Regional Director of Operations, Pam oversees the billing operations and practice management for the Florence, SC central billing operation (CBO) center. This oversight includes the management of over 150 employees as well as support areas for all four PSA CBOs, such as refund processing and liaison for our Application Service Providers (ASP). In addition to her roles at PSA, Pam serves as the Pathology specialty representative on the Provider Outreach Education Advisory Group at Palmetto GBA and she is a member of the HBMA.
As Director of Patient Services, Pam is responsible for ensuring that all patient and client calls are handled in a professional and efficient manner. With extensive training and quality coaching, the Patient Service Center focuses on the patient experience to ensure PSA is consistently satisfying the patients’ needs.

Stephanie Sessions
Regional Director of Operations
Stephanie Sessions has been employed with PSA for 15 years and has over 18 years experience in billing operations and revenue cycle management, with a primary focus in pathology. As Regional Director of Operations, Stephanie oversees all billing operations for the Charleston, SC Centralized Billing Office (CBO). In addition, Stephanie directly manages the two Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) support departments for all four PSA CBO locations. These departments are responsible for front-end interfaces and outgoing claims management. Stephanie is responsible for oversight of approximately 200 employees.

Jackie Sanderson
Regional Director of Operations
Jackie Sanderson joined PSA in 1999 and acted as Patient Services Director for almost 10 years. During her second year with PSA, Mrs. Sanderson helped implement the PSA National Patient Service Center. Focusing primarily on patient advocacy, she created a patient friendly website and IVR system. Jackie currently holds the position of Regional Director of Operations and oversees the billing operations and practice management for the Charlotte, NC central billing operation(CBO) center.

Leigh W. Polk, M.B.A
Marketing and Support Services Director
Leigh Polk, Marketing and Support Services Director, joined PSA in 1997. She is primarily responsible for developing, coordinating and implementing PSA’s marketing efforts, practice marketing support programs and educational services. She oversees and coordinates activities related to the Market Analysis Program (MAP) and Client Service and Business Development program. Leigh is responsible for organizing PSA’s Educational Services, which includes meetings, seminars, audio conferences calls, and mailings as related to industry news.

Luci Bradley
Office Manager and Business Alliance Coordinator
Luci Bradley, Office Manager and Business Alliance Coordinator, joined PSA in 2002. Primary responsibilities include oversight of daily operations in the administrative office and providing support in the Business Development process. As Business Alliance Coordinator, she is responsible for maintaining vendor relationships and ensuring PSA clients receive preferred pricing as negotiated on their behalf.

Chappy Manning, RN, CPC
Billing Support Services, Coding Coordinator
Chappy Manning received her Bachelor's of Science in Nursing from the University of South Carolina and is a Registered Nurse and Certified Professional Coder. Before joining PSA in 2003, she practiced as a Certified Wound Ostomy Continence Nurse and was a nurse consultant to the Managed Care division of Blue Cross Blue Shield of SC. She is responsible for coding reviews and coding education for new clients, as well as non-client practice reviews. Chappy also coordinates coding education and policies and procedures for PSA coding staff and has presented on pathology coding at national meetings and audio-conferences.

Laura Edgeworth, HTL (ASCP), CPC
Director of Coding Compliance
Laura Edgeworth, Coding Compliance Manager, joined PSA in 2003. She works closely with pathologists nationwide to identify and address pathology CPT coding issues. Laura has more than 10 years of experience in the pathology industry and is recognized as a Certified Professional Coder by the American Academy of Professional Coders. Her responsibilities include managing PSA’s Coding Compliance Department and providing pathologists with education and training that helps improve report documentation and CPT coding skills thus minimizing the risks associated with over-coding, under-coding and insufficient documentation.

Jane Gaskins, CPA
Controller
Jane Gaskins has been with Pathology Service Associates, LLC (PSA), a MED3OOO Company, since 2000 and has served as PSA’s Controller since 2005. Ms. Gaskins oversees all daily accounting functions as well as forecasting, budgeting, reporting and other financial analytics. In this role, she is also involved in operational matters that affect the company financially. Additionally, Ms. Gaskins serves as an accounting consultant to one of PSA’s largest clients, assisting them with broad-level accounting and financial issues.

Stephanie Denham, CPA
Director of Client Services
Stephanie Denham has been with PSA over 8 years and currently holds the position of Director of Client Services for Pathology Service Associates, LLC (PSA), a MED3OOO Company. In her role at PSA, Ms. Denham directs a team of Client Service Managers to ensure that PSA clients receive the highest possible level of service and detailed financial analysis to manage their pathology practices and clinical laboratories. In addition to directing the Client Services area, she directs the Operational Audit department, ensuring that policies and procedures are followed consistently in each of PSA's four Centralized Billing Operations. Throughout her employment at PSA, Ms. Denham has aided multiple internal departments in increasing the efficiency of reporting and analysis.
