PSA’s Educational Services 

PSA clients receive educational and industry updates along with current information on Healthcare laws and regulatory requirements are provided through seminars, conference calls, email alerts and routine interaction with PSA affiliated practices.

Designed to keep pathology clients informed on issues impacting the pathology industry and allows practices to take a proactive measure to ensure there is not a disruption in cash flow (i.e. Physician Quality Reporting Initiative, National Provider Identification Number, Changes to Medicare’s Physician Fee Schedule, etc.).  These Issues are addressed from the community-based pathology practice perspective while many industry sources focus on the laboratory industry as a whole.

  • Educational conference calls are provided to PSA billing clients free of charge as part of billing and collection services ($200 fee for non-PSA affiliated practices).

  • One-on-one consultation with PSA experienced knowledgeable staff on issues such as compliance, coding, practice management, business support, and other practice specific issues.

Networking

PSA provides a forum for members to network among themselves with respect to referrals, coding and compliance issues, practice management issues, national and regional trends, and joint venture opportunities. 

The PSA network consists of over 600 pathologists nationwide and provides an unparalleled opportunity to learn from the best and the brightest in the business of pathology.  The physicians in this network have experienced nearly every issue a pathology practice can encounter, and the networking among the practices is an amazing tool for effective decision making.
